Rehabilitation robotics pioneers, Fourier Intelligence, formally accepted as members of the International Federation of Robotics (IFR)
SINGAPORE, Jan 20, 2022 – Fourier Intelligence has been formally accepted as a member of the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), joining a group of well-acclaimed institutional members from the robotics industry and research and development institutes such as KUKA, Intel and Panasonic. Fourier Intelligence will also be the pioneering member to represent rehabilitation robotics in the IFR.
The IFR’s mission is to connect the world of robotics around the globe, with the aim of promoting the positive benefits of robotics for productivity, competitiveness, economic growth, and quality of work and life. This non-profit organisation also serves the purpose to promote research, development, use and international co-operation in the entire field of robotics.
“We are happy and very much looking forward to being part of the IFR,” said Zen Koh, Co-Founder and Global HQ CEO of Fourier Intelligence. “Being a member of this federation is a great privilege. This will allow us to have a platform to share information on the latest technology trends and exchange ideas with other top members in this. We are also excited to foster more alliances and partnerships with other members which we believe will be very beneficial to our company’s growth.”

“Besides that, the vision of the federation also aligns perfectly with Fourier’s vision, which is to promote the positive benefits of robotics in various fields such as rehabilitation. As a pioneering member to represent rehabilitation robotics, we are very excited to advocate the adoption of robotics in rehabilitation worldwide.”
The IFR also works closely with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world’s largest technical professional organisation for electronic and electrical engineering. Since 2005, together with the IEEE, both has been co-sponsoring the IEEE/IFR Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award. The purpose of this award is to recognise the entrepreneurial commercialisation of ideas into actual products. The IFR and IEEE also jointly sponsors the IERA (Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Robotics and Automation) Award, which is to honor achievements of investors who propel value creating ideas into world-class products. Both the IFR and IEEE have a huge influence in the robotics industry.
Upon being accepted as a member of the IFR, Fourier Intelligence has plans to work closely together to release more white papers on rehabilitation robotics. Fourier Intelligence believes that together with the vast network of over 75 members of IFR from more than 20 countries, the awareness and adoption of rehab robotics can be more widely promoted globally.
